To all our New and Returning families: Welcome to Mayflower Montessori 2019-2020! It’s been a summer of revitalization for our school: streamlining systems and highlighting the best of who we are. We want to draw special attention to some new elements and procedures of this great school: New Website: Please check us out! mayflowermontessori.org. New Calendar - Link Here New Parent Portal: A great new feature on our website that will help you stay informed and navigate the goings on of our community. Click on "More" and then "Current Parent Portal." Please visit frequently as there is much we will be uploading in the upcoming days. PASSWORD: maria@mayflowe New Online Record Keeping and Parent Communication Tool: “Transparent Classroom” is the name of the online tool that we will be using to utilize and track all of our communication with you. Look for an email with the subject title “You’ve been invited to join Mayflower Montessori,” click the link, set up your password, and take a look around! Don’t forget, a tutorial for learning some of the basic uses of this tool (signing in and out, communicating with your child’s guide) will happen at the Parent Orientation on August 29. New Emails: All staff have new emails: (staff name)@mayflowermontessori.org. New "Connect!" Hours: Look for Connect! Hours where ALL parents are invited to join for any amount of time (5 - 55 min) in the Parent Resource Center (PRC). Be a Connect! Ambassador and host or stop in quick / stay for coffee or Somali Tea. Upcoming:
In Need: Parent volunteers! Of particular interest to us at this time is anyone with website and social media experience. We are working on a Parent Facebook page and would like a team of parents to help manage the site and use. If you didn’t already note this in the Child and Family Profile form, please respond to this email with your skill and interest. Thank you! We are also looking for a few more new "Lead Parents." These volunteers meet as needed to discuss and help formulate various engagement opportunities for families throughout the year, such as: gathering families from each class to play at a local park or hosting a refreshment hour for parents/guardians at pick-up time. It's a great team, and we are looking for fresh, diverse perspectives, so please consider joining! Forgot to fill in your volunteer availability in the Participation Sign-Up Sheet? Please do so today! Reminder: Every Child Needs Updated and Completed Forms We do not want to turn away any child the first day of school. Thank you for all your hard work in getting these in to us complete and on time!
