"The Greatest Sign of Success for a teacher is to be able to say, "the children are now working as if I did not exist." ~Maria Montessori
We are no longer accepting applications for our Toddler Community at this time. We are full through the 2020-21 school year. We will open Tours and Applications for Toddler Community in January of 2021.
Applying to Mayflower Montessori Early Childhood Center is very simple: there are three easy steps. Mayflower is a Montessori school that fosters independent learning and follows the child in their development. We have a Toddler Community ages 16 – 33 months and four Children’s Houses ages 33 months through Kindergarten, six years of age by September 1st. Mayflower Early Childhood Center serves an economically diverse community and provides high quality Montessori learning environments that meet the developmental needs of the whole child. We welcome your application!
Let us know that you are interested in learning more about Mayflower by visiting the "Tours" page to fill out your inquiry and submit. In your message, please let us know why you are interested in Montessori education, and your past experience with Montessori. We will contact you when a space becomes available, and we are holding Tours beginning in January through April. We have an extremely competitive enrollment, and space is limited.
Once we contact you, after you have submitted interest, you will visit the school. Parent & Guardian Tours are Tuesdays at 8:45am weekly, beginning in late January through April. Reservations are required and can only be offered if we received your submitted interest on the "Tours" page. Virtual tours are available for families moving to the area. We also recommend that you research more about Montessori if you are unfamiliar. Our school is less of a Day Care Center, and is an AMI Accredited Montessori school.
You will meet with our Director, Amy Kennedy and/or our Parent Outreach Coordinator, Leah Popova to learn about our community.
After you Tour and you are ready to Apply, we will provide you with website access to submit the Enrollment Application under our Admissions Page. You will submit the Enrollment Application within 1 Week of your Tour with the $80 application fee.
If a space is available: After we receive the Enrollment Application and fee, you will receive an email from our Transparent Classroom App. After you receive the email, you have an additional 2 weeks to submit the Student Information packet, Enrollment Agreement, and non-refundable, $200 deposit. You are not fully enrolled until we have received the Enrollment Agreement, Packet, and Deposit.
If no space is available: We will notify you that you have been entered into the waitlist.
Wait List Information
Our waitlist fills quickly, and we monitor the timeline set above tightly. If your Enrollment Application is not submitted within one week of your Tour and with the $80 deposit, we move the application directly to Waitlist.
We acknowledge Sibling Preference for Waitlist.
